PCCC to gather…
November 23, 2020
The PebbleCreek Community Church announced on Monday a special "Christmas Celebration" on Wednesday, December 9th at 2:00 p.m. The event will be conducted at the Bullard Wash Amphitheater located behind Staples off of PebbleCreek Parkway.
Recently, the church surveyed the congregation regarding future gatherings. As a result of the survey, the Elder Board decided it would be appropriate to meet again for a special event celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
The gathering will observe all CDC guidelines, which includes wearing of a face mask and social distancing of 6 feet. Individual bottles of hand sanitizer will be distributed when you arrive. Face masks will also be available for those who may forget to bring their own masks.
In case of bad weather, the gatherng will be postponed until Wednesday, December 16th at 2:00 PM. at the same location.
Below is the complete email sent to the congregation by John Aycock, Chairperson of the PCCC Elder Board.
Mark your calendar. We hope to see you there to celebrate the birth of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
Dear Fellow Christians,
It is with joy in my heart that I send you this email message.
If you had the opportunity to watch the November 22nd Sunday Service on the Web this morning, you heard Rick Kesig announce that PCCC has been given approval by the City of Goodyear to use the Bullard Wash Amphitheater for a PCCC Christmas Celebration. (This approval is for what they call a “Mass Gathering of 50 or more people) The Bullard Wash Amphitheater is located behind Staples off of PebbleCreek Parkway.
The Christmas Celebration is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 9th. If we have bad weather that day, the city approved an alternate date and time of Wednesday, December 16th at 2:00 PM. We anticipate the actual celebration being held between 2:00 and 3:00 PM. Of course there will be a need for the Trustees, Audio/Visual crew and staff members to set up for the event and take things down afterward. For the general congregation, it would be best to arrive around 1:45 PM to make your way to the amphitheater.
I have attached two pictures of the amphitheater. As you can see, it is a spacious outdoor area that will allow us to “socially distance” ourselves for our celebration. We will be required to observe all CDC Guidelines which include wearing a facemask and staying 6 feet from each other. So, no hugs or handshakes☹. When you arrive at the amphitheater, there will be table set up with individual bottles of hand sanitizer for you and a facemask if you forgot yours.
Basically, the Christmas Celebration will include, Pastor Bob sharing a Christmas message and singing of Christmas Hymns and Carols led by Donna. Hymns and Carols to be sung will be emailed for you to print and bring to the celebration.
I will be following up with more details as the time for our Christmas Celebration draws nearer, but I wanted to share with you this good news now. Please, be sure to mark your calendars for 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 9th (with an alternate date of Wednesday, December 16th) to come join in the celebration of the birth of Lord and Savior.
May God’s Peace and Joy fill your heart.
John Aycock, Chairperson
PCCC Elder Board
